Scripting and Scripting

Looks like I'll be delving into a good bit of scripting pretty soon.
I'm just sort of wrapping up my web design work with the Oxford Lions' Club. I need to design a few more pages, but it's all working with GUI software. No real coding involved. I can push out a few pages in a cinch. Nonetheless, it's still fairly rewarding.

However, I have a final project for my research class. I'm doing some work on the class website. I believe that to get a nice big 'ol A on my Final, I'll do some work with the source code for our platform. Maybe make a plug-in. Looks like they work with PHP. Time to brush up on that. I haven't really gotten into PHP... ever. Though I have wanted to many times. Just never had the drive.

Along with the academic responsibilities, I picked up a fairly nice little guide on Bash scripting, while I was using "stumbleupon". (I'm addicted, really). I started that up. I really enjoy it. It's essentially like mixing two of my favorite things:

1) The feeling of cruising through a Unix-based terminal.
2) The feeling of writing something useful that I can put into work frequently.

That is all for today. Happy coding!

Get Money

I've been working, though not updating.

Life has been stressful and complicated and wonderful, as it is wont to do.

At the moment I am being paid to:
1) design a web page for the local Lions Club (by paid, I mean compensated. Not a salary or anything).

2) Do some freelance computer maintenance for the less computer-literate.

It's a good gig. Not well paying, but well-rewarding.

My set up has expanded to three computers.

I'm doing quite well.

When the website is finally up and running, I will post a link for you to see.
